Karlfeldtgymnasiet, Sweden

Karlfeldt upper secondary school is the region’s largest school, which in turn makes Avesta the center of education in the region. Here are twelve national programs, seven vocational programs and five pre-university programs.

At Karlfeldt upper secondary school, we are proud to have competent and committed teachers and a high percentage of students who complete their education. We see this as proof that what we do is right. We are committed to that both staff and students should have a good working environment, and that this should generate a good atmosphere for everyone.

At Karlfeldt upper secondary school we focus on international cooperation and entrepreneurial learning. We work closely with the local business community, to give students, a very good insight into future professions.

Ulvilan lukio, Finland

Ulvilan lukio is a public upper secondary school with about 300 students. Ulvila is a small city located in South-Western Finland. We provide general academic education. Beside the mandatory courses our students can specialize in music and entrepreneurship. As a recognition of our entrepreneurial education we were granted The Entrepreneurial School Award 2016 of Junior Achievement as the first school in Finland.

Our team for this project has five members.

Juha Kujansuu is the vice headmaster of our school. He teaches history, social science and ethics. He has started the entrepreneurial education at our school and has been developing it for about 15 years. He works with the JA Company Program.

Marianne Nurmo-Heikkilä is the headmaster of the school. Her positive attitude towards entrepreneurial program is one key factor to our activity.

Hanna Savolainen teaches German and Swedish. She has been involved in entrepreneurial education for many years. She is responsible for innovation camps and international issues.

Mari Kaunisto is the latest member of our entrepreneurial team and responsible for digital business courses. She teaches mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Satu Harju is our student counsellor. She advices students through their studies and in their career choices, keeps up with the connections to working life and universities.

ASPEA – Associação Portuguesa de Educação Ambiental, Portugal

ASPEA, Portuguese Association for Environmental Education is a NGO for Environment and Development with 27 years of experience in the training of adults, teachers & youth on environmental education, sustainability, arts & environment, School Agenda 21 & the Earth Charter, in formal, non-formal and informal educational. Since 1992 branch of Foundation Caretakers of the Environment International, ASPEA general secretary is vice-president of CEI. Since 2005, Affiliate Institution for Earth Charter.

It has organized 23 national conferences, in mainland Portugal and the Azores, 1 Iberian conference & 1 international conference for teachers and experts in EE; co-organized 1 international CEI conference for secondary students and teachers (1992) and 10 Children & Youth Forums, since 2004.

CKU Białystok – Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego w Białymstoku/The Centre of Continuing Education in Bialystok, Poland

The Centre of Continuing Education in Bialystok was set up in 2005 as a public school which provides opportunity for gaining and completing general knowledge as well as professional skills and qualifications.

CKU Białystok provides high quality continuing education and lifelong learning opportunities for personal enrichment, career advancement or professional development.

Types of free education in the Center:

  • Primary school for adults
  • Secondary school for adults
  • Post-Secondary School for adults
  • Qualifying vocational courses

CKU participate in various educational and cultural activities and projects in co-operation with local and international partners, organize seminars and trainings from union funds and with the connection of European Social Fund. The CKU is a work place of professional counselor. The work of counselors direct to gymnasium`s students, after gymnasium pupils and adults who search for their place on the job market. The professional counselor is also responsible for cooperation with employers and diagnosis of our student’s requirements. In our Centre also exist the Bialystok Academy of Family (BAR). BAR was established on 23 February 2013 by the President of Bialystok City.  Last year our school was awarded with the first prize in a national competition of Presidential Couple ‘Good Climate for Families’ in the category of ‘good parenting’ for the appointment and activities of the Bialystok Academy of Family.

The main task of the challenges facing the BAR is widely understood education and promotion of the family. The activities are aimed at all social groups: youth, spouses, parents and grandparents.

The tasks are realized by organizing lectures, seminars and workshops, where experts take the issues concerning the family, education, and strengthening family relationships.
